Hello all Sisterhood members and friends. 

​We hope all of you have enjoyed Purim this year. 

​For those of you who have registered, the WRJ convention will be March 12th-March 15th. We hope to learn lots of new ideas and bring back valuable information we can all use to plan future Sisterhood Programs,

March 19 will be our Passover Tasting Meeting (click here for flyer) and/or to RSVP.  Many members have already signed up to bring either chicken soup, charoset, or dessert. We look forward to seeing you all there.

February has come and gone and the year flies on…

Please join us at our March 19th Passover Food Tasting Competition (click here for flyer).  If you love your recipes, please bring  sample foods for all to taste.  For example- make your favorite soup and bring small cups for some to take a taste.  Do you make a yummy dessert for Passover?  Cut it up into small pieces and let us try it.  Use your imagination and let’s have fun!

Make copies of your recipe to share.  If you want us to copy these for you, email us a copy and we will do this.

Bring friends as this is a great way to introduce Sisterhood to others. 

PLEASE RSVP (see flyer) and let us know if you are bringing anything, so we can plan accordingly. (Of course, last minute walk-ins are always welcome at our events.  However, RSVP’s make our lives easier).

This past Thursday (Feb. 19) we had an incredible presentation from JQ International about Gender Matters.  Thank you Jackie Zev and her committee for arranging this thoughtful and meaningful event.
 
Our next event is going to be lots of fun. See the attached flyer (click here).  Please join us for a Passover food tasing competition. Bringing food is not imperative, but if you have a homemade food you would like to share, please make a small taste for about 40 people (even just a spoonful of soup to try for each- or a bite of Charoset for example) and copies of your recipe.  If you need us to make some copies for you, send the recipe to us in advance and we can do this for you.  If you just want to be a taster, that is also fine, as we would love you all to attend this yummy event.
 
We hope to see many of you at our Cantor’s Concert on February 28.

Our February general meeting is on Thursday, Feb 19.  The topic is on what it means to be trans or gender diverse.  This is open to all and will be a very informative learning experience. RSVPs for this meeting are appreciated.  Click here to RSVP or click here for a flyer.

Please plan to join us for the WRJ Pacific District Convention from March 12- 15th.  For those that can't make it Thursday and Friday, they recently opened up a Saturday-Sunday only option for $350.  All registration closes on February 22, so if you are planning on going, you should register soon.  Click here to register for convention.  This convention is being held locally in Pasadena. Carpooling is an option that can be arranged once you let us know you are attending. Sisterhood members can qualify for partial reimbursement of your registration after attending.  The amount will be determined by the amount of attendees.
 
Sisterhood has decided to donate additional funds to help the Temple with their many improvement projects.   Our temple is looking terrific with many enhancements being made due to you and the many donations received in the “Re-Jewvinate Fund”.
Donations to the temple are still being accepted.  Our new sound system, carpet, electrical updates and many more items are really happening!!

Sisterhood's Bingotini fundraiser was a huge success with lots of fun.  Congratulation to our winners. Thank you to all of our many volunteers who made this happen.

Great news- our WRJPD convention registration is online and it has been decided that there is an option to attend Saturday and Sunday if you cannot join us on Friday due to your work schedule or other commitments. If you register now, there will be a first timers zoom call this Monday night, to meet other newbies and get lots of interesting information. Convention is March 12 to March 15th in Pasadena and is an incredible event that only comes once every three years.  If you have questions or need more information, feel free to contact Phyllis@bigelsoncpa.com

There were several of our sisterhood members who enjoyed our very interesting and informative session on “Ending Well” Thursday night. For those who missed it, or those who want a review- attached is the schedule of free zoom classes, if you wish to sign up. Click here for schedule.
Or, if the workshops are more time than you want to invest, here is a checklist for you to think about.

1. ___I have showed the list of “Where to Find Things” to each of my children, successor trustees/executor.
2. ___In 2025 I reviewed and updated my Living Trust or Will.
3. ___I have written down ideas for my celebration of life.
4. ___ To avoid family conflicts, I have put in writing who I want my one-of-a-kind possessions to go to.
5. ___I have shared ideas for my celebration of life with my children and asked for their suggestions.
6. ___I have all my passwords recorded in one safe place and my trustee/executor knows where that is.
7. ___The necessary names are on accounts to be closed so that the company/organization will allow access by my trustee.
8. ___My partner knows how to handle his or her new responsibilities after I’m gone.
9. ___I’ve prepared a letter, video or note expressing my thanks to my closest loved ones for what they meant to me.
10. ___I made out an ethical will for the younger members of my family.
11. ___I’ve written my wishes for my digital items (documents, pictures) and my children know where to find them.
12. ___I’ve selected someone to carry out my digital wishes. They know who they are and I’ve spoken with them about it.

If you want to take a workshop, but the dates on the attached schedule don't work for you, send the Ending Well people an email, and they will let you know when the next round will be.

Our next meeting will be Thursday February 19th at 7:00pm.  Be sure to put it on your calendar.  A flyer will be out with next week’s email.

It’s time to purchase your 2026 Mahjongg cards.  Deadline is quickly approaching.  Remember, this is instead of ordering your cards from the Mahjongg League, as they give us a nice thank you contribution for collecting the orders for them.  Deadline is January 18.  You can bring your order form to Robyn at our event this Thursday.
