CAN YOU BELIEVE IT’S MARCH! Sisterhood Seder
Spring is just around the corner, and with it comes Passover. Our renowned Sisterhood Seder is scheduled for March 18, 2021 via Zoom (see flier). Since we are virtual this year, there is no chance of selling out, so if you have never been able to attend our Seder in prior years, this is the time to do it. Please follow the registration instructions on the flier to reserve your space. It’s always a good time, and this year should be no exception! Sisterhood Board Our nominating committee is forming and will be considering who will be filling the upcoming vacancies on the Sisterhood Board. If you are interested in any of the opening positions, or know someone who is, please contact Kathy Barker at [email protected]. Open positions are: Co-President Administrative VPs Religious Observances VPs Ways and Means VP Programming VP Membership VP Education VP Recording Secretary Even if you have not served on the Board previously, please contact Kathy if you are interested in serving Sisterhood. You won’t regret it! Inspirational Quote In honor of March being Women’s History Month, the following quote seems most appropriate: In discussing her role as Wonder Woman, Israeli actress Gal Gadot said: “I wanted to show that women are empowered and strong and don’t have to be saved by some male hero, but they can take care of themselves using their intelligence and their power.” Hope to see you at the Seder on March 18!

There is still time to send in questions to our guest speaker, Nancy Parris Moskovits. Please send them to Karen Jaye at [email protected], or Dori Hoffman at [email protected] with your question, so that Nancy can make sure she has the most up-to-date information for you. In my last email I gave you an incorrect e-mail address for Karen Jaye.
If you would like to have our speaker Nancy Parris Moskovitz answer your specific questions, please e-mail Karen Jaye at kjaye@verizon.net or Dori Hoffman at [email protected] with your question, so that Nancy can make sure she has the most up-to-date information for you. The Zoom link will be sent out on Wednesday. Sorry for the mix-up. Look forward to seeing you all on Thursday, 02/18/2021 at 7pm. Sending Love and Hugs! What a lineup we have for the next few months!
COVID-19 – QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS We have a very informative evening planned for everyone this coming Thursday at 7pm. Please join us to get all your questions about Covid-19 answered. We will be joined by Nancy Parris Moskowitz, a registered nurse with a degree in epidemiology, who is looking forward to answering your questions and alleviating any concerns you may have about the pandemic, the vaccines, symptoms, or anything else. If you would like to have Nancy answer your specific questions, please e-mail Karen Jaye at [email protected] or Dori Hoffman at [email protected] with your question, so that Nancy can make sure she has the most up-to-date information for you. The Zoom link will be sent out on Wednesday. SISTERHOOD SEDER Our annual Sisterhood Seder is set for March 18, 2021 at 7:30 pm via Zoom. See the link below for our flyer, with all the information you need. Please log into the Sisterhood Website (tassisterhood.org) and pay online. Or, print out the attached flyer and mail it to Laurie Sher before March 10, 2021. Cost is $25 for Sisterhood Members and Friends, $30 for guests. Your payment goes toward the Seder production, digital Haggadah, a donation to SOVA, and a goody bag. For those of you who have never been to one of our Sisterhood Seders, you are in for a treat! When we are physically able to be together, we have sold out for the last several years, packing over 100 people into the TAS Social Hall. It is an amazing event thanks to our wonderful chairperson, Arlene Stone and her terrific committee. The Zoom link will be provided once your reservation is confirmed. Our inspirational quote for this e-mail really resonates with our Sisterhood. The insignia on our Sisterhood shirts bears the phrase “You’ve Got a Friend,” and nothing could be more appropriate. Here is a traditional Jewish Proverb, which says it all: “Who finds a faithful friend, finds a treasure.” For all my Sisterhood Treasures, Happy Valentines’ Day, Stay Healthy and Stay Safe! Sending Love and Hugs! |
