CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!
Holiday Boutique -- This Coming Sunday --- 10/31/21 We are in desperate need of volunteers for the Holiday Boutique. We still need cashiers and workers for the bake sale. Any time you can give is much appreciated. Please sign up at Sign Up Genius, on the link below, and follow the instructions. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0545A5AC23ABFE3-holiday1 1) Click on the time slot and area you would like to work. Box will be checked. 2) Click on submit and sign-up box at the bottom of page 3) Enter your first and last name, email and any comments you would like to make. For any questions, please contact Robyn Blachman at [email protected]. We also need donations for the bake sale. Bring us your cookies, cakes, brownies or whatever else you would like to donate -- home made or store bought -- either is great. Please package bakery items in individual servings to comply with Covid restrictions. You can drop them off at the Bake Sale that day. Thanks so much!

It is Holiday Boutique time again. The event is next Sunday, 10/31/21! Please come by and check out our vendors and our bake sale. It's been two years since we have been able to hold this wonderful shopping opportunity at TAS and we are very excited, Don't forget that the first night of Hanukkah is Sunday 11/28/21 ... that is Thanksgiving weekend, and is coming up fast! Don't be caught without the gifts you want for your loved ones! Volunteers are still needed for the Boutique for cashiering and to work the Bake Sale. Violins of Hope --November 18, 2021 -- 7pm Yes, it is finally happening. Violins of Hope, originally scheduled for March 2020 is finally coming to TAS -- live! Those of you who have already purchased tickets will have a seat in the Sanctuary for this event. If you have not yet purchased a ticket we are unable to accommodate you in the Sanctuary due to continued Covid restrictions. However, you can enjoy the evening virtually on Zoom for a fee of only $25. Please go to tassisterhood.org for more information. Paid-Up Lunch Event Finally, we want to extend kudos to our VPs of Programming, Dori Hoffman and Karen Jaye and our VPs of Membership Sandy Robinson and Naomi Kokason for putting on a truly enjoyable afternoon. The High Holidays have quickly come and gone! We were so happy to have had the option of worshipping in person at our amazing Synagogue or by Zoom! Our Clergy did an outstanding job of presenting us with memorable and inspiring services for both Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur! Sukkot was celebrated both at TAS and with our annual Sisterhood Sukkot at the Schwartz’s lovely home. At the Sisterhood Sukkot, we waved the Lulav and Etrog and sang songs led by our wonderful Cantorial Soloist, Elizabeth Kerstein. Now, Sisterhood is looking forward to the “Paid-Up Event!” This is a celebration where we honor those Sisterhood Members and Friends who have paid their dues for the 2021-2022 Temple year. This event promises to be a fun-filled get-together with food and outstanding entertainment by a Magic Castle Alumnus, Michael Varma! For those of you who have paid your dues, don’t forget to RSVP by October 21, 2021 to Dori Hoffman at: [email protected]! Also be sure to look at the flyer for this event to choose which sandwich you would like to have for lunch. Dori needs that information as well. If you have not renewed your membership or signed up to be a member, you still have time to do so. You don’t want to miss this fun event! Here’s all you need to do: 1. Make out a check to TAS Sisterhood and send it to Temple Ahavat Shalom, 18200 Rinaldi Place, Northridge, CA 91326 (note in Memo section- Sisterhood Dues) Or 2.
