Dear Friends,

The High Holidays have quickly come and gone! We were so happy to have had the option of worshipping in person at our amazing Synagogue or by Zoom! Our Clergy did an outstanding job of presenting us with memorable and inspiring services for both Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur! Sukkot was celebrated both at TAS and with our annual Sisterhood Sukkot at the Schwartz’s lovely home. At the Sisterhood Sukkot, we waved the Lulav and Etrog and sang songs led by our wonderful Cantorial Soloist, Elizabeth Kerstein.

Now, Sisterhood is looking forward to the “Paid-Up Event!” This is a celebration where we honor those Sisterhood Members and Friends who have paid their dues for the 2021-2022 Temple year. This event promises to be a fun-filled get-together with food and outstanding entertainment by a Magic Castle Alumnus, Michael Varma!

For those of you who have paid your dues, don’t forget to RSVP by October 21, 2021 to Dori Hoffman at: [email protected]! Also be sure to look at the flyer for this event to choose which sandwich you would like to have for lunch. Dori needs that information as well.

If you have not renewed your membership or signed up to be a member, you still have time to do so. You don’t want to miss this fun event! Here’s all you need to do:

1.    Make out a check to TAS Sisterhood and send it to Temple Ahavat Shalom, 18200 Rinaldi Place, Northridge, CA 91326 (note in Memo section- Sisterhood Dues) Or
