Bring your old eyeglasses to the Hanukah Party

I know I JUST emailed everybody, but there's something very important I forgot to add!!

Mel Birken has been giving tours of the New Year's Day Parade floats for many years, and she's back at it this year! Did you know that?

One of the groups building a float is the Lion's Club. They have some amazing programs. One of them is providing eyeglasses and hearing aids worldwide! They acquire donated glasses, repair them, and travel to areas of need. They examine eyes and distribute needed glasses all at no charge! She has asked us to bring our old eyeglasses to donate to the Lion's Club. What a fantastic opportunity for us! I know I have many, many pairs of old glasses lying around.

So.... one wrapped present, one unwrapped item for the women's shelter, and old glasses.

I feel really good about this, donating to really good things and having a fun night. And dessert, of course.
